The Genesis 400 Targa is a contemporary 12.5m sports cruiser that caters to alfresco dining and socialising while optimising sea keeping, practicality, luxury and comfort.

Designed for the young at heart, the 400 Targa’s essence is portrayed by its efficient hull form and free flowing interior that opens the luxurious upstairs living area to the social and sporting orientated cockpit.

Both areas are well defined but without barriers and the dinette delivers panoramic views over the cockpit and beyond. This arrangement retains the option to warm or cool the upper living area and maximises participation in the cruising environment.
The Genesis 400 Targa is a natural entertainer and draws on flowing curves and elliptical shapes to seat six guests in comfort at the dinette. An icemaker, cockpit fridge, wet bar and food preparation area are positioned close at hand.
A generous helm console with carbon fibre highlights provides for all the navigation instruments that are welcomed at night and a twin helm seat and companion seat to port allow family and friends to participate in passages.
The comfortable companionway provides a flowing link with the beautifully detailed open plan interior that carries a capable galley, plush lower saloon, bathroom facilities and two double cabins that can be isolated for privacy.
The master double berth is situated forward and a second double cabin, ideal for children or guests, is positioned discretely aft. Hardwood floors in the companionway and galley, curved timber cabinets, soft carpets and sculptured seating deliver a stylish but timeless design that enhances ergonomic flows and practical living within the welcoming interior.

The timber highlights can be crafted in American cherry, walnut, English tawa or jarrah and a choice of neutral soft furnishings are available to compliment them. A value-packed fit-out is provided within the 400 Targa’s base specification and an Avonite bench top, European fittings, two-element electric cook top, 70L refrigerator, 40L top-loading deep freeze and combination microwave convection oven are delivered within the standard export package.
Drive train options include twin stern-drives or shafts coupled to vee drives, and power options include Yanmar, Volvo Penta or Mercruiser diesel engines.
Two KAD44 (260hp) Volvo Penta stern drives deliver an honest 33 knots in heavy trim and close to 34 knots when the fuel load is light.

Quiet, cost-effective cruising is provided at 3200rpm when the engines are
spinning freely off-load. An independent performance report prepared by Diesel Craft Evaluations substantiates the Genesis 400 Targa returns better than 1.4 nautical miles per gallon (3.17 litres per nautical mile) when cruising at 24.7 knots, and confirms it provides an exciting and privileged lifestyle at an affordable cost.
